Jerry Tucker, Bass Guitar, Rhythm Guitar, Back up Vocals
Born in the mid 50’s, the 5th of 8 children, it was easy for Jerry to get lost in the crowd of kids, maintain a low profile and become a quiet, introspective person, you know the type – a bass player.
Early on, Jerry tried piano, accordion, and clarinet lessons, but none of these stuck. At age 11 he started singing and playing acoustic steel string guitar with his family band “The Ten Singing Tuckers,” which is where he was first introduced to live tunes. Jerry played guitar throughout the late 60’s and 70’s, picked up a few upright bass chops from his oldest brother, and then real life crept in and the musical flame became just a flicker.
From mid 70’s to early 90’s, Jerry had a side career/hobby as a pyrotechnician on large scale rock concerts and worked on some of the great stadium concerts of the day - back stage with The Rolling Stones Tour 1981, J. Geils, Heart, Pat Travers, Journey, Cheap Trick, Judas Priest, Jimmy Buffet, and the Beach Boys, to name a few. He was also on crew for the very first (and several subsequent) KGB SkyShow and at San Diego “Pops Series” outdoor symphony concerts. Always close (really close) to live music, he got the itch to play music again. Currently playing with Coyote Blues Redempion (since 2011), Jerry and Stephanie Wright formed their Dynamic Duet Chasing Dreams in 2013.
